“The Children’s Environmental Health elective was such a unique learning opportunity in my medical education at Mount Sinai. As a future physician and public health advocate, I appreciated being able to expand my knowledge of environmental health issues in medicine, cultivate skills at the intersection of clinical medicine and public health, and put this newfound expertise into practice through the consultations that the PEHSU received. As I approach residency and emerge into my own voice as a clinician soon, I can definitively say that the conversations we had in this elective were truly transformative!”
