To celebrate Children’s Environmental Health Day we are asking students and trainees across New York State to share their visions for healthier and happier environments for children.
What does a healthier New York State look like?
October is Children’s Health Month
The NYS Children’s Environmental Health Centers are seeking creative high school, college, graduate, and medical/allied health professional students to share your vision of what a healthy New York looks like to you as we move forward through the COVID-19 era. Environmental health includes factors relating to clean air, water and food; chemicals in consumer products; healthy homes, schools, workplaces and neighborhood environments as well as transportation networks.
How can we make a healthier environment? Create an original video or other artwork that captures your vision. Select submissions will be posted on NYSCHECK.org, on NYSCHECK social media platforms, and presented at our Children’s Environmental Health Day celebration on October 8, 2020. What’s your vision for a healthier New York for all New Yorkers?
(You may describe your vision for the entire state or for a local community.)
Submissions due: September 28th, 2020
Eligibility: NYS high school, college and graduate students, and health professions trainees
Original artworks only, including videos, drawings, paintings, animations, photos and mixed media. We want ideas and images created by YOU, the visionary. (Avoid using clip art, stock images or default application graphics.)
