The WNY CEHC at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, is dedicated to promoting initiatives focusing on pediatric environmental health in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming counties. Much of the information provided by this site focuses on indoor environmental hazards such as mold, bed bugs, and ensuring cleanliness in public spaces. This site also provides guidance on local outdoor environmental hazards, such as poisonous plants and ingesting locally caught fish safely. The Medical Director at this site has 30 years of experience providing case management to children with elevated blood lead levels.
