We’ve been urging children and families to eat “better” and exercise more for 20 years. This hasn’t solved the obesity crisis. And the failure is predictable.  Successful solutions exist. The environmental approach of coupling public health models with research evidence reveals what does work. And community partnerships can actualize theory into practice to change the context, creating places that generate health.
This lecture was for the 20th anniversary of the Anne E. Dyson Memorial Grand Rounds & Child Advocacy Forum.
