October 11, 2018 was proclaimed the first Children’s Environmental Health (CEH) Day in New York State, in conjunction with the launch of the NYS Children’s Environmental Health Centers (NYSCHECK). This is an archive of past Children’s Environmental Health Day presentations and celebrations.

2025 Youth Symposium
On Wednesday October 8th, 2025 4pm (The day before CEH Day). we will be hosting a youth symposium out of New York.
Children from around NY State share their work making healthy places for healthy people.

For every piece submitted, member pediatricians will donate 1 tree to be planted through the Eden Reforestation Project, up to 10,000 trees.

Environmental health includes factors relating to clean air, water and food; chemicals in consumer products; healthy homes, schools, workplaces and neighborhoods; as well as energy, transportation and financial networks. Communities of color and communities with less wealth are disproportionally affected by adverse environmental health factors.
